These photos were taken in Arctic Valley in July and August 2012 in Anchorage, Alaska. It was raining sideways so these images were taken from inside a vehicle. The valley is very lush and green in the summer. Too green sometimes for photographing in JPEG. Rain drops on my lens had to be wiped off on a constant basis.
I shot JPEGs with my Nikon D7000 and Nikon DX 16-85mm f/3.5-5.6 lens. I had to reduce saturation of these photos with Lightroom because the colors were to bold and fake looking. I always use an aperture priority setting so I can keep a uniform aperture. I used a wider aperture than usual because I needed a faster shutter speed for hand held shots. I do not use JPEGs anymore and shoot RAW images, which are superior to the smaller JPEG files.
