These images were taken during a gathering to support Backbone in September 2012 in Anchorage, Alaska. Backbone is a bipartisan group of Alaskans pushing for Alaska to get its fair share of oil revenues. Supporters believe the Alaska Governor and Legislature were rolling back taxes on oil companies by 1 to 2 billion without reasonable expectations that more oil would be produced. Several legislative candidates and their supports were there. While biking home a moose and I had a standoff on the bike trail. I gave the moose the right-of-way. Later I run into two more moose.
I shot these photo using basic JPEG setting on my Nikon D7000 with a kit lens. Later I started shooting RAW files, which are superior in quality. I will remove any image upon request by contacting me at bartz@englishoephotography.com
