Salmon are very important to Alaskans. People were enjoying 500 pounds of fresh grilled salmon during the second annual Alaska Wild Salmon Day in Anchorage, Alaska. Celebrations took place across the state to honor Alaska’s five salmon species and show support for protecting fish habitat. It was drizzling rain, but people did not mind since it was so warm out. Kids were having fun and eating ice cream.
I did not get to stay long as my daughter was barbequing salmon for our family at home. It was a bright day with high contrast light, which made it difficult to capture correct camera exposures. I used my Nikon D600 and Nikon 70-200mm f/4 lens to capture these images. I will remove any photography upon request by contacting me at 907-240-1025 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
