These images were taken in the fall of 2011 in Russian Jack Springs Park in Anchorage, Alaska. The park had colorful foliage even thought it was wet most of the summer. Mushrooms grow rather fast in moist conditions. Families pick mushroom and other plants for the nutrients.
I used a Nikon 55-200mm f/4-f/5.6 kit lens with my Nikon D7000. My tripod was a 40-year old well-built Gitzo. I used a cord remote to activate the shutter button. I shot JPEGs.
