The Goose Lake Polar Plunge is held each year in support of the Alaska Special Olympics that provides sports training and social events for people with intellectual disabilities. It was 12° F during the December 20, 2014 event. Around 1,000 people plunged into icy water to support special Olympians.
It was overcast and I used ISO 200 with my Nikon D600 and Nikon 70-200mm f/4 lens. I always edit my images down to around 25 photos per gallery. Determining which were the best 25 images to post was difficult since there were a lot of interesting people at the plunge. These are low resolution images for web viewing. I will remove any photo upon request at email@example.com.
