The 40th annual Heart Run was a success by raising over $261,000 in 2018 for the fight against heart disease. Christy Marvin, primarily a mountain runner, won the timed 5 kilometer women’s run. Edwin Kangogo finished first in the men’s race. It was chilly, but it did not stop people from enjoying themselves. Kids were all over the place and smiling.
It was an overcast day and the soft light was perfect for photographing people-no deep facial shadows or bright highlights. I used an f/4 aperture to keep the depth of field narrow to emphasize people’s eyes. I used my Nikon D600 with a Nikon 70-200 f/4 telephoto lens attached to a tripod. I will remove any photograph upon request by contacting me at firstname.lastname@example.org or 907-240-1025.
